Moto2: Jake Dixon remains with Petronas SRT Moto2 for 2021

Following some impressive performances, Jake Dixon will remain with the Petronas SRT team for 2021.

Jake Dixon will remain with the Petronas SRT team for 2021 alongside Xavi Vierge following some impressive performances after changing from KTM chassis to Kalex in Moto2, coming into the class in 2019 from the British Superbikes championship where he was the runner up behind Leon Haslam in 2018.

The move was criticized at the start with people not believing Dixon was up to it with Razali himself saying, “I didn’t think much of Jake when we first signed him up but man! This boy is on fire and we will do our absolute best to support Jake.”

He has well and truly proven he deserves his seat, leading at Le Mans and taking major steps each race, improving his qualifying and race pace with a best result of P4 at Aragon, we are expecting big things from Dixon in the future.

Jake DixonI am so happy to be continuing with PETRONAS Sprinta Racing for another year. It made sense for both parties to be continuing, as it was only my first season with the team, and the Kalex chassis, this year and we’re only getting stronger together. We’re already achieving great things and I think we can seriously consider being able to mount a title challenge in 2021. I’m really happy and I just want to say a massive thanks to everyone at PETRONAS Sprinta Racing and all of our partners for the confidence in me and for making this happen, and I hope to do you proud!
