WorldSBK: Chaz Davies to Go Eleven Ducati for 2021

Chaz Davies will move to the Go Eleven Ducati team for 2021, swapping places with Rinaldi.

Chaz Davies will swap places with Michael Ruben Rinaldi for 2021 with Rinaldi moving to the Aruba.IT team and Davies moving over to the Go Eleven squad. Davies is one of the most successful riders of recent years with Jonathan Rea’s dominance leaving Davies in the shadows, the 33-year-old has been replaced by younger talent but remains in the Ducati family for 2021.

Gianni Ramello (Team Principal): “I wrote a book, a book about my life and my dreams in the world of SBK. Among my dreams, there has always been Chaz, one of those drivers who make you fall in love with this sport. Now the missing piece has arrived to crown many years of sacrifices, a lot of commitment, and a lot of passion. It will certainly be a challenging year, we must all give our all and bring Chaz to the top step of the podium on every occasion. There is not only a great joy, immense but also the awareness of having a rider with an incredible palmarès, who will now race for our Team, for Go Eleven. I especially thank Cecconi, Casolari, Foti, Dall’Igna and Ciabatti who believed in our skills, our professionalism, and our great passion, which sometimes gives something more on the competition field.

Chaz Davies: “I am very happy to join forces with Team Go Eleven in 2021! I think it is a great opportunity, both for me and for Go Eleven, to continue our growth path. I had a very good finish last season, winning the last race in Estoril and getting the most points of all in the last nine races. Go Eleven was also the protagonist of a great 2020. I think we have all the credentials for a winning partnership. I am very excited, especially because I had an exceptional feeling with the bike in the end of the season, and this could also be a starting point in the first tests, next year. So, thanks to Team Go Eleven for the trust and thanks to everyone who made this partnership possible, giving us the chance to win next year: Ducati, Aruba and Feel Racing.
