MotoGP Europe: Johann Zarco leads the way as Quartararo cracks the top 20
Johann Zarco leads the FP3 session in Valencia as Fabio Quartararo scrapes his way into the top 20.
Johann Zarco takes the top spot in the FP3 session as he finds form in the tricky conditions leading second-placed Maverick Vinales by a huge 0.736. Takaaki Nakagami continues to impress also in third place, the first man to break the one-second barrier behind Johann Zarco.
Francesco Bagnaia has also found some form in FP3, finishing the session in P4 ahead of Cal Crutchlow who once again finds himself injured with an issue with his shoulder.
Miguel Oliveira breaks into the top 6 also, showing that the conditions have levelled the field a lot given that there is only 1 factory rider in the top 6, however Alex Marquez is the seventh-placed man, ending this little stat here.
After missing both Aragon races, Valentino Rossi got stuck back in taking P8 in the session, 1.635 from P1.
Suzuki were able to close out the top 10 with Alex Rins then Joan Mir in P10.
Lorenzo Savadori deserves a shout out in P12, not letting the pressure of his MotoGP debut get the better of him.
On the other hand, Fabio Quartararo is struggling immensely, finishing the session in P19, just ahead of last-placed Brad Binder as Jack miller does not set a time.
