Moto3 Assen FP2: Tatsuki Suzuki leads after crash

A monumental high side didn’t stop Suzuki from leading FP2.

Tatsuki Suzuki takes the lead in the FP2 session in Moto3, he had a huge high side mid-session and was still able to lead completing only 7 laps, he leads a very strong Darryn Binder who was second in this mornings FP2, in both sessions Binder has been able to stay with the leader as they gap the rest of the field, this kind of consistency bodes very well for the race as the duo lead Dennis Foggia in third by a massive 0.436 seconds!

Dennis Foggia and Andrea Migno are going very well here but are unable to make up the distance to the front runners, Foggia has a very interesting season this year scoring points in only three races this year, what is his podium tally this year? 3. This means that he’s only ever scored points when he’s been on the podium, very strange.

Jaume Masia has recovered from a bad crash in FP1 to take fifth place in the session ahead of Romano Fenati and John McPhee. Kaito Toba finishes in a solid P8, he’s had a solid run of form recently and could be eying a Moto2 move, it feels like he’s spent a little too long in Moto3 now and we know what he’s capable of. Niccolo Antonelli rounded off the top 10 0.995 from P1.

Xavier Artigas was the 11th quickest rider ahead of Alcoba and Acosta with Joel Kelso making a strong finish in P16, top job Joel!
