Moto3 Indonesia RACE Results: Dennis Foggia dominates to win

Dennis Foggia dominated in Indonesia to win his first race of the season.

Dennis Foggia took his first win of the season after coming through from P6 on the grid and dominating in the Moto3 series with a commanding lead with speed no rider could match.

The race began with Izan Guevara an early favourite taking the lead and his teammate Sergio Garcia in tow a couple places back, as the laps ticked off and the order sorted itself out it was Dennis Foggia who would show some exceptional speed and take the lead from Guevara on the fourth lap, he wouldn’t relinquish the lead from here and stormed off into the distance leaving the rest of the field to battle for second place.

Guevara, Garcia and Migno would go all out swapping and changing corner by corner to try and gain somewhat of an advantage and try and catch up to Foggia, however their swapping and changing of positions allowed Foggia to escape even further and bringing Masia, Holgado, Oncu and Tatay into the battle.

It would be a classic Moto3 scrap from here with places chopping and changing corner to corner, sometimes getting a little out of hand with Tatay picking up a long lap penalty after being forced off track and gaining a small advantage in the process.

Despite the long lap penalty Carlos Tatay was able to recover into third place behind Guevara who had also managed to eke out a lead to secure second place, he had a mountain of pressure from Sergio Garcia just behind and somehow held on to take his first-ever podium finish behind Guevara and race winner Foggia.

Sergio Garcia was the best of the rest ahead of Deniz Oncu, sadly for Andrea Migno he would be wiped out by Ayumu Sasaki on the final lap, his terrible luck striking once again, rounding out the top 10 were Artigas, Masia, a rookie pairing of Bartolini and Holgado with Suzuki in P10.
