MotoGP Valencia FP2: Jack Miller back on top as entire field improve
Jack Miller was the quickest rider in FP2 as the field improved their times.
Jack Miller went fastest in FP2 as it gets tight at the top with three riders within 0.056 seconds of one another, the lap times improved from this morning’s wet session as the riders attacked the track in the dry for the first time this weekend at the cold Valencia circuit. The Ducati’s both finished within the top three sandwiching in Pol Espargaro who finished only 0.012 seconds from Jack Miller’s record time, the Honda man suffering a crash after riding completely on the limit eventually crossing over and being slung to the ground.
Alex Rins took home the fourth-placed spot a huge 0.341 seconds back from the top three who clearly have the edge on the rest of the pack with Jorge Martin behind rounding out the top 5.
Takaaki Nakagami seems to be enjoying life a little move this weekend, the Japanese rider sitting pretty in sixth with Joan Mir following closely, the Suzuki man aiming to secure a Q2 spot to once again attack the front row again tomorrow and try and win a race this year. Only 0.008 back is Brad Binder ahead of a surprising Andrea Dovizioso on the two-year-old Yamaha, a surprise but a welcome one for sure, Johann Zarco rounded out the top 10 ahead of Fabio Quartararo.
