MotoGP: Marc Marquez to miss Algarve Grand Prix

Marc Marquez will miss the Algarve Grand Prix due to concussion.

Honda have confirmed that Marc Marquez will sit out of this weekends Algarve Grand Prix after a fall during training caused the eight-time champion a slight concussion. He has spent this week resting and preparing to try and race this weekend however has been advised to miss the race as a precautionary measure by doctors. He is expected to be replaced by Stefan Bradl.

The accident comes as a massive blow to his season after making up strong ground race by race climbing up the championship standings to sixth place with two to go, still mathematically able to finish in third place heading into this weekend.
