Tito Rabat will ride for the Barni Ducati team in WorldSBK in 2021.

As expected, Tito Rabat will ride for the Barni Ducati team in WorldSBK for 2021 moving from MotoGP to the Superbike class. After completing 16 seasons in Grand Prix racing spanning from 2005-2020 in the 125cc class, Moto2 class then MotoGP class, winning the 2014 Moto2 World Championship, Rabat leaves behind a long career with 13 wins to his name to embark on a new adventure with Ducati support.

Marco Barnabò, Team Principal: “I am very happy with the agreement with Tito because I saw he shares our approach to work: great commitment and determination to try to reach ambitious goals. Our whole team is ready to do their utmost to give him the best conditions to do well.”

Paolo Ciabatti, Ducati Corse Sporting Director: “We are very happy with the agreement reached between Marco Barnabò and Tito Rabat. The Barni Racing Team has now been a consolidated reality as a Ducati satellite structure in Superbike for many years and we are sure that in 2021 it will give Tito the best opportunities to express all his talent. For his part, Rabat arrives in the SBK World Championship motivated to obtain important results and we are sure that he will be able to count on Barni’s maximum support to achieve them.”

Tito Rabat: “After having raced in MotoGP for many years now I have the opportunity to start a new adventure in Superbike and I want to show my full potential in this championship as well. I know that I will have excellent material and a good team at my disposal. I want to thank the Barni Racing Team and Ducati for this opportunity. For me a new challenge begins today, I got on the Ducati Panigale V4 R for the first time and I can’t wait to take it to the track, I will work hard to be 100% ready right from the tests and I hope to adapt as quickly as possible to obtain good results.”
