Moto3: Albert Arenas leads FP2 in Portimao
Moto3 championship leader Albert Arenas leads FP2 as he looks to take the title this weekend.
Albert Arenas leads the FP2 session at Portimao, leading 2020 rookie of the year Jeremy Alcoba by 0.201 seconds, putting down the pace and being the first rider to break the 1:48 barrier with a time of 1:47.987.
Tatsuki Suzuki was the third-placed rider, another 0.173 behind Alcoba in third as the times spread out with the teams gathering more data, he leads Raul Fernandez in P4 then Jaume Masia in P5 who led the FP1 session, also showing his top speed advantage of 247.1, the fastest rider by a long way in top speed.
Masia leads teammate Dennis Foggia in P6 as Deniz Oncu again is sat in P7 ahead of championship contender Tony Arbolino in P8.
Arbolino leads the third and final title contender, Ai Ogura, who improves his FP1 position of P26 up to P9.
Stefano Nepa ends the session in P10 as John McPhee gets his name into the Q2 area.
