MotoGP: Jack Miller tops FP1 as Garrett Gerloff makes MotoGP debut

Jack Miller headed a wet FP1 session at Valencia this morning with Stefan Bradl in the top 3.

Jack Miller was the fastest man in the FP3 session this morning, hosted in tricky conditions at the Valencia circuit, Miller led last time winner Franco Morbidelli to the chequered flag with a huge 0.467 lead over the Italian.

Stefan Bradl impressed on the Honda, finishing in P3 with both Repsol Honda’s in the top 5 of the session with Alex Marquez sat in P5 overall, the Spaniard suffering a crash in the session. Sandwiched between the pair was Johann Zarco on the Ducati GP19, the second Ducati in the top 4.

Danilo Petrucci was the next man in P6 leading Pol Espargaro on the KTM, a circuit he has good fortunes at taking his first MotoGP class podium here in 2018.

Espargaro led Miguel Oliveira in P8, the pair’s rivalry not getting the better of them just yet.

Andrea Dovizioso was the ninth-placed man ahead of Maverick Vinales in P10.

Garrett Gerloff made an impressive debut in P16, just 1.582 from P1, finishing ahead of Joan Mir and Fabio Quartararo who was in last place.
