WSBK Magny Cours: Jonathan Rea leads a wet FP1

Jonathan Rea was the only man to go sub 1:50 in FP1 at Magny Cours in the penultimate round of the season.

Jonathan Rea leads Loris Baz at the French Circuit where Rea can wrap up the championship for the sixth time, the session was majorly affected by rain meaning times were a lot slower but this did not stop Rea from hammering in some fast lap times to finish P1 by 1.351 over Loris Baz.

The times were very spaced out with Tom Sykes up next in P3 ahead of Toprak Razgatlioglu. Xavi Fores was the fifth placed man, following news that he will not remain with his team for the 2021 season.

Rea’s teammate Alex Lowes ended the session in seventh ahead of Scott Redding who will be doing all he can to stop Rea from winning the title this weekend.

Michael Ruben Rinaldi, Michael van der Mark and Leon Haslam rounded off the top 10 whilst Chaz Davies was 5.4 seconds off in P16 with Bautista in P19, a huge 7.5 seconds from P1.
