Moto2 veteran Thomas Luthi and Jaume Masia lead the way in FP1.
Thomas Luthi led the way in the wet Moto2 FP1 session at the Valencia track, he finished 0.128 ahead of rookie Hector Garzo who is improving race by race and is looking to stand on the podium shortly.
Aron Canet takes the P3 spot on his Moto2 return ahead of teammate Hafizh Syahrin in P4, a rider notorious for being fast in the wet. Marco Bezzecchi was the fifth-placed man, 0.030 faster than Sam Lowes in P6 who has won the last three races in a row.
Niccolo Bulega finished ahead of Enea Bastianini in P8 who is battling with Lowes for the championship.
Simone Corsi makes a surprise top 10 entry ahead of Lorenzo Baldassarri in P10.

Jaume Masia starts the European GP in good fashion following from two wins at Aragon, leading the session ahead of the Japanese duo of Tatsuki Suzuki and Kaito Toba by 0.294 over Suzuki.
Alonso Lopez was the fourth fastest ride on the Husqvarna, a huge 0.505 from P4, showing the big gap between riders in the session, he finished ahead of Tony Arbolino.
Andrea Migno was the sixth-fastest rider leading John Mcphee by a huge 0.521 between the two.
Niccolo Antonelli makes another appearance in the top 10 in P8 ahead of fellow VR46 Academy rider Celestino Vietti.
Gabriel Rodrigo was the 10th placed man, 1.438 from P1.
