MotoGP Aragon: Alex Rins: “Wow, another Marquez?”

Alex Rins took the MotoGP win at Aragon, but it wasn’t without battling an ex-teammate for the win.

Alex Rins had the same feeling as Dovizioso at Aragon, Dovizioso had the shock and horror of yet again being passed by a Repsol Honda and reading the same ‘Marquez’ plastered across the backside of the rider.

This time, Rins did not get overtaken but got the shock of a lifetime when he read ‘Marquez’ on his pit board. Of course, Rins and Alex Marquez had many battles in Moto3 as teammates in the Estrella Galicia set up, even racing as teammates with the Monlau squad in the CEV championship alongside Francesco Bagnaia.

Yet over time as Rins joined and left Moto2, Rins did not fight with Alex Marquez on track, the pair having a rivalry and dislike towards one another which was passed over to Marc Marquez when Rins stepped up to MotoGP who also has traded words with Rins on and off of the track,

Alex Marquez passed the buck to bother Marc and left him to battle Alex Rins whilst Alex Marquez won the Moto2 title, Alex Marquez coming up to MotoGP to fight with Rins once again in 2020.

It was a shock for Rins as Marquez came from way back in P11 to fight him for the victory saying, “3 laps to go, I looked at my pit board and saw ‘Marquez 0.4 to me’ and I say WOW, another one?! Marquez, another Marquez.”

First Dovizioso and now Rins, someone please keep Valentino Rossi away from Alex Marquez please we don’t need another repeat of 2015.
