Moto2 Algarve FP2: Raul Fernandez leads as Gardner crashes

Raul Fernandez led the FP2 Moto2 session as title rival Remy Gardner had an accident.

Raul Fernandez finished the Moto2 FP2 session in charge by just 0.002 seconds over Sam Lowes in second place, Raul snatching the fastest time early on into the session and holding it throughout, his title rival Remy Gardner however suffered a crash after colliding with Marcos Ramirez, thankfully both riders escaped unharmed with Gardner remaining in P3 at the end with a taste for pole position tomorrow in qualifying.

Jorge Navarro was the fourth fastest rider only 0.004 seconds from Gardner, the Speed Up man looking incredibly strong once again this weekend with Ai Ogura closely following in fifth. Aron Canet followed even closer lapping only 0.001 seconds behind Ogura who has seemingly found some form after struggling slightly recently.

Marco Bezzecchi came home in P7 ahead of teammate Celestino Vietti, Vietti is another rider who has landed on his feet recently and is finding himself consistently at the faster end of the time sheets ahead of Augusto Fernandez and Xavi Vierge.
