MotoGP Aragon: Maverick Vinales once again leads a Yamaha 1-2-3

Yamaha are on fine form at Aragon, taking yet another 1-2-3 at Aragon, doubling up on FP2.

Maverick Vinales remains in P1 in FP2 whilst the Petronas Yamaha boys swap places, Fabio Quartararo is in second and his teammate Franco Morbidelli is in third place, a fourth Yamaha sadly is not on the cards with Rossi forced to miss the weekend due to a positive COVID-19 test.

Joan Mir is making great progress, struggling a lot at Le Mans and qualifying in P14, he is working on improving this with a P4 this session which so far puts him in the provisional Q2 meaning he can start no lower than P12.

Cal Crutchlow with his new Aprilia pre-contract takes P5 in the session, trying to prove a massive point to his potential new employers.

The ‘Espargabro’s’ were next up with Aleix in P6 and Pol in P7, the Aprilia seeming to work well in the colder temperatures at Aragon.

Knock knock – who dis? Alex Marquez, here to prove more people wrong. Alex Marquez in P8 in FP2, making huge strides on the Repsol Honda following his podium at Le Mans.

Takaaki Nakagami was the P9 man, the third Honda in the top 10, seemingly founding something here at Aragon.

Alex Rins was able to take the 10th spot ahead of the 6 Ducati’s all out of the top 10.
