WSBK Magny Cours: Jonathan Rea wins the Superpole race and his 99th race – Full Results

Jonathan Rea was one step closer to winning his sixth WorldSBK title today, winning the Superpole race.

It was another wet race but that did not trouble Kawasaki as they took a 1-2 in the race with Alex Lowes taking second place behind his teammate.

Michael van der Mark took the final podium spot ahead of Scott Redding who was putting on the pressure to Van der Mark in the closing stages of the race but the Yamaha man defended his position well.

Other Ducati rider Chaz Davies assumed the fifth-place spot behind his teammate whilst Loris Baz took sixth place.

Michael Ruben Rinaldi once again contributed to a Loris Baz sandwich as two Ducati’s were in front and behind Baz with Rinaldi in seventh place with Yamaha duo of Garrett Gerloff and Toprak Razgatlioglu behind him.

Tati Mercado was the 10th placed rider once again after returning from injury.
