Following a crash in the warm-up session, Cal Crutchlow has been ruled out of today’s Jerez race

The British rider suffered a crash at turn 8 this morning, becoming the second rider after Alex Rins to be ruled out of today’s race.

It has been confirmed that Crutchlow has neck trauma and concussion, after a trip to the circuit medical centre, he went to the Jerez hospital to undergo further checks and was declared unfit upon his return.

LCR Honda stated the following “Cal feels fit and ready to race, but unfortunately the MotoGP Chief Medical Doctor has decided to not take any unnecessary risks and has declared him unfit for precautionary reasons. Cal is disappointed with the decision but will rest up for the rest of the day”.

We hope to see him back on track once again next weekend. Get well soon Cal.
