WSBK Magny Cours: Garrett Gerloff takes P1 in FP2

The podium was the start and certainly not the end for Garrett Gerloff as he leads FP2 in France.

Garrett Gerloff topped FP2 by just 0.015 over Jonathan Rea in a soaking wet FP2 session at Magny Cours which saw times 1 second faster than this mornings times.

Jonathan Rea was the second fastest man ahead of Michael Ruben Rinaldi, the trio being the only riders in the 1:48 bracket at the track.

The rest of the riders up to P8 were in the 1:49 bracket also with Loris Baz kickstarting proceedings in fourth place ahead of Alex Lowes, Tom Sykes was the fastest man on the BMW ahead of Scott Redding who is trying to do all he can to stop Rea winning the title this weekend.

Leon Haslam was the last rider in the 1:49 bracket in P8 ahead of Eugene Laverty.

Michael van der Mark was the 10th placed rider 1.637 from P1.
