MotoGP News: Cal Crutchlow ruptures left ankle ligaments
Following a check-up on his right forearm following surgery, Cal Crutchlow has slipped and ruptured his left ankle.
After missing both races at Misano due to complications with his right forearm following surgery, Cal Crutchlow underwent a check up with Dr. Xavier Mir to see the progression, it was confirmed that he is healing and in much better condition, meaning Crutchlow would be much fitter this weekend ahead of the Catalan GP.
Yet, Crutchlow’s horrific luck in 2020 strikes again, when he arrived at the circuit, the British rider slipped over outside the PCR Testing Booth and has ruptured his left ankle’s ligaments which was confirmed by Dr. Max Ibañez. This adds to his scaphoid fracture suffered at Jerez in the opening round of the season.
Despite this additional injury, Crutchlow is determined to race this weekend on the basis that he passes medical and fitness tests – hopefully his luck will improve soon.
