HRC has confirmed that Marc Marquez has been released from the Hospital Ruber Internacional in Madrid, this follows 10 days of recuperation which were required due to a third surgery on his humerus on December 3rd which included a bone transplant taking bone and red blood cells from his pelvis in order to facilitate the growth and repair his right humerus bone he broke in his crash at Jerez in the opening round of the 2020 season.

The surgery was deemed to be successful with Marquez starting antibiotic therapy to reduce the risk of infection to the area. The race is now on to save his career and more importantly, his arm. He is to continue recovery at home on a specific antibiotic treatment programme. His recovery time is expected to be around 6 months, but Marquez himself has confirmed he will only return once he is 100% fit.
