Regarding the news, Oliveira said “Riding in the world championship, now in MotoGP category, it has a special feeling to come back and race in my home country, I am really really looking forward to this, the fact that it is the last race is just unbelievable because we can just go flat out and give it all in front of the home crowd.”
“It is one of the most challenging tracks around the world,” continued Oliveira. “Many blind corners and tough spots to understand which is the better line to go and I think it’s going to be really interesting to see how everyone adapts and how the MotoGP bikes cope. It is always a pleasure to ride there, I have a special connection to the people managing the track. It is a special feeling for me to race there in Portugal and especially in Portimao.”
Miguel Oliveira will be giving his all to win in front of the home fans which will be allowed to spectate, no other rider has done more laps around the track than Oliveira and it will be interesting to see how he copes.
We will see on the weekend of November 20-22nd!
