MotoGP Le Mans: Fabio Quartararo leads FP3 as Mir goes through Q1
Fabio Quartararo has led the FP3 session as title rival Joan Mir will go through Q1.
It was a positive session for many riders as the times tumbled down into the 1:32 mark, allowing them to get a good set up for the race following weather inconsistencies yesterday.
Dainese will have their work cut out for them as Miller, Rossi, Mir and Bradl all crashed in the last 5 minutes of the session but all riders are OK with Mir having one of the best dismounts you’ll ever see.
Title leader Fabio Quartararo leads the FP3 session as the times fell to race pace times, still a way to go to get near the 1:31.185 record held by Johann Zarco.
Miguel Oliveira was the second-placed man in the session on the KTM ahead of Franco Morbidelli, the top 3 all first-time race winners in 2020.
Jack Miller was the fourth-placed man, he is chasing his first Ducati win this season and Le Mans is a track he goes well at, he is ahead of Cal Crutchlow in fifth place, still riding injured which is an outstanding comeback.
Home hero Johann Zarco finished in sixth place, hoping for reliability from his Ducati after it broke down yesterday, finishing ahead of Valentino Rossi who crashed late in the session and Rossi’s teammate Maverick Vinales.
Pol Espargaro was the ninth man in the session with Andrea Dovizioso just behind him, Dovizioso was just 0.367 from P1.
