MotoGP: Repsol Honda unveil 2022 livery

Repsol Honda have unveiled their 2022 livery with Marc Marquez and Pol Espargaro.

Repsol Honda have shown off their 2022 steed for the first time with riders Marc Marquez and Pol Espargaro, the 2022 season holds a lot of promise for the Japanese manufacturer who are bringing out a radically updated RC213V with new air intakes, tail, aero, a new engine exhaust that runs alongside the tail fairing instead of through it.

The team will be aiming to recoup the MotoGP world championship following two difficult seasons which has seen Marc Marquez absent from the entire 2020 season and much of the 2021 season due to an arm injury, still picking up three wins in the process. At the end of 2021 Marc Marquez would be involved in a training accident that would cause his eye diplopia (double vision) he was diagnosed with back in 2011 to resurface, this would be a fight for his career at this point as it was unknown if he would return to the sport given the severity.

Thankfully as time went on and he spent more time with doctors, his health would improve and Marc was able to return to action at the recent tests in Sepang and is now fit enough to continue on with the challenge of taking his ninth World Championship in 2022 with Honda.

Over on the other side of the garage his teammate Pol Espargaro is hunting down his first victory in the class, he made the switch from KTM to Honda and has aided the manufacturer greatly in developing the newest iteration of the RC213V, in 2021 he took home a pole position and podium finish at Silverstone and Misano respectively.
