Moto3 Algarve FP2: Romano Fenati tops the timesheets
Romano Fenati was the fastest man in the Moto3 FP2 session.
Romano Fenati headed the Moto3 FP2 session this afternoon in Algarve, Portugal. The Moto3 veteran beating title contender Dennis Foggia by a mere 0.015 seconds to lead the way ahead of the Red Bull KTM Ajo boys who will be putting on a shift this weekend to ensure that Acosta comes away with the championship title.
There’s no doubt Jaume Masia’s services will be highly required for his team to secure the championship this weekend, beating Dennis Foggia is his number one and only target, if teammate Acosta can outscore Foggia by five points this weekend then the rookie sensation will be crowned the Moto3 champion in his first attempt, sitting fourth in FP2 it looks incredibly promising for the youngster with rookie Adrian Fernandez in fifth place.
Niccolo Antonelli takes home P6 ahead of Filip Salac with Ayumu Sasaki in tow of the duo as Riccardo Rossi and Ryusei Yamanaka rounded out the top 10. In P11 was Izan Guevara, the young Spaniard crashed out of Misano chasing a podium finish and there’s no doubt he will be wanting to avenge this loss come Sunday.
