Moto2 Qatar Warm Up: Joe Roberts the man to beat

Joe Roberts was the fastest man in the Moto2 Warm-Up as the wind picks up.

Joe Roberts took P1 in the warm-up at Qatar as the lap times heighten due to high winds, these high winds have covered the track in a layer of dust and sand meaning the riders are riding more cautiously at the Losail International Circuit in Doha, this did not stop the lap record holder Joe Roberts from leading the session overall by 0.059 top Marco Bezzecchi in P2.

The duo lead Remy Gardner in P3 as some surprising names made their way into the top 10 including Somkiat Chantra in P4 riding for the Honda Team Asia squad with Jorge Navarro in P5. Fabio Di Gianntonio followed his previous Speed Up teammate to P6 overall as Cameron Beaubier says hello to the top 10 running in P7 just 0.360 from his countryman Joe Roberts in P1.

Augusto Fernandez finished in P8 ahead of teammate Sam Lowes who was down in P21 due to a crash early on in the session, Fernandez leads Marcel Schrotter who also suffered a crash and the other Fernandez, Raul, in P10 who is unrelated to Augusto.
