Portimao to host MotoGP Finale

The Algarve circuit in Portugal will host the 2020 MotoGP season finale with fan access.

Dorna confirmed on Monday 10th August that the Portugese track will host MotoGP over the weekend of November 20-22nd.

Dorna signed a deal with the track in 2017 as a reserve circuit, however the deal states it needs to be re-surfaced, it has been confirmed that a resurface will take place a month before F1 races at the circuit in October.

It will be the first MotoGP round held in Portugal since Estoril 2012 and will allow Miguel Oliveira to have a home race.

Algarve CEO Paulo Pinheiro said, “to have Miguel Oliveira on the MotoGP grid, being able to fight for the podium will be an amazing add on for this race, and hopefully the championship will be decided here.”
