MotoGP Valencia: Takaaki Nakagami heads FP1 – Full Results

Takaaki Nakagami strikes first in Valencia taking P1 in the FP1 session.

Takaaki Nakagami was the fastest man in the Valencia GP in the FP1 session, he is looking to finally take his first podium in the class after matching his best result of P4 last weekend.

He led Franco Morbidelli overall in the session by 0.115 with Maverick Vinales just behind the duo on the other Yamaha.

Next up was the ‘Espargabro’s’ who finished in P4 and P5 with Pol the fastest, Pol took pole position last weekend and a podium, KTM are looking very strong here in Valencia.

Johann Zarco was the man in sixth place, the Frenchman has stepped into a bout of form recently.

Andrea Dovizioso was the next fastest Ducati in P7, this is his second to last race with the manufacturer, he finishes ahead of Joan Mir who can take the championship this weekend with his 37 point championship lead.

Miguel Oliveira who is strong here finished in P9, he finished last weekend’s race in P5 and is looking to improve on this.

Stefan Bradl rounded off the top 10, 0.685 from P1, improving dramatically on the Honda.

Fabio Quartararo was way down in P16, once again struggling at the circuit.
