Moto2/3 Valencia: Jorge Navarro and Tony Arbolino lead the way in FP1

Jorge Navarro and Tony Arbolino were the fastest Moto2 and Moto3 riders in the FP1 session at Valencia.

2 Speed Up’s found their way in the top 3 in the Moto2 FP1 session with Jorge Navarro leading and teammate Fabio Di Giannantonio in P3, sandwiching in Luca Marini fresh off of his 2021 MotoGP deal with VR46.

Sam Lowes is looking to recover from last weekend’s crash, sat in P4 with good pace just 0.104 from P1 in the session, he is ahead of Marcel Schrotter.

Moto2 rookie Hector Garzo impresses again, the rider set the race fastest lap last time out and is in P6 this morning ahead of fellow rookie Aron Canet.

Garzo’s teammate Lorenzo Baldassarri in the eighth-placed man ahead of Enea Bastianini who can win the championship this weekend if he can extend his title lead to 26 points, currently it is on 6 points.

Thomas Luthi rounds off the session in P10.

Moto3

Tony Arbolino impresses in the Moto3 FP1 session, just 0.098 faster than Deniz Oncu who also demonstrated some impressive speed, the duo lead Romano Fenati in P3.

Jeremy Alcoba, who started last weekend’s race from P29 is looking to dramatically improve on this, finishing the session in P4 ahead of last weekend’s winner Raul Fernandez.

Dennis Foggia finished the session ahead of Darryn Binder in a Leopard sandwich with Masia in P8.

Stefano Nepa and Kaito Toba were the 9th and 10th fastest man this morning.

Championship leader Albert Arenas ends the session in P12 ahead of contender Ai Ogura, just 3 points between them.
