MotoGP Portimao Test: Full results
MotoGP test riders tested the Portimao track for the first time today with various full-time riders on stock bikes.
It was a day of learning for many with Jorge Lorenzo riding a MotoGP bike for the first time since the Sepang test in February.
Most riders on stock did not run a transponder, but Brad Binder, Miguel Oliveira and Maverick Vinales did.
Aleix Espargaro led the proceedings with the best time of 1:40.170, breaking the World SBK lap record here of 1:40.372, set by Jonathan Rea in 2019, he was joined at the top by Bradley Smith nearly a second off of him.
Jorge Lorenzo who was riding the 2019 Yamaha was the last placed man, however, his job was to gain data for Yamaha more than do fast times.
