MotoGP: Valentino Rossi “I will ride for Petronas next year 99%”

Valentino Rossi has shed some light on the Petronas and retirement situation today.

Speaking in the press conference, Valentino Rossi was asked about his retirement speculation which has dominated the headlines this past week, Rossi confirmed he has no plans to retire and also confirmed Petronas Yamaha will be completed in a few weeks, he said, “No it’s not true, the situation is 3 weeks old” meaning he may have pondered retirement 3 weeks ago but has decided to continue.

“We take time [to negotiate] with Yamaha because we not in a hurry and have something to fix” continued ‘The Doctor’, confirming that there are still some contract items to sort out.

“We are very close to signing, I will race with Petronas next year I wanna say 99% as it’s not signed, but, I think maybe in Barcelona we can give the announcement,” confirming we could see the announcement over the Catalunya MotoGP race weekend of 25-27th September.
