It was a dramatic Race 1 at Aragon with Rinaldi coming out on top, the first private winner since 2012.
Rinaldi’s best race before today was P4 which he scored in three separate occasions, however that stat ends today with P1 for the first time, an Italian winner on a Ducati, winning by 6 seconds to Rea.
Jonathan Rea played it safe, taking second place and damage limitation for the championship, this was until Scott Redding who has been struggling all weekend with cornering crashed out, devastated at his crash as he was seen in the pits in an emotional state. Rea now leads the standings by 30 points.
Chaz Davies takes third place in the race following a battle with Alvaro Bautista who eventually crashed out. Davies is consistently scoring points, however, finished behind the man who may take his ride for 2021 (Rinaldi).
