MotoGP Austria: Morbidelli: “Zarco is a half-murderer”

Following the hugely dramatic crash on lap 9 of the Austrian Grand Prix, Franco Morbidelli has come out with some strong words for Johann Zarco

Speaking with Sky Sports Italia Franco Morbidelli did not mince his words about Johann Zarco, the Italian/Brazilian said “Braking like this at 300 [km/h] per hour means having little love for yourself and for those you are racing with. I hope this huge incident makes Zarco think. It was really dangerous for me, him, for Rossi and Vinales who were up [in] front while they were making a really slow corner and saw a bike coming in their faces at 280 [km/r] per hour.”

Franco ended the statement saying: “He [Zarco] is a half-murderer. I’m sorry because I couldn’t do anything, when I went to brake Zarco probably changed trajectory to protect himself. When he went out I was sucked into the bike and I couldn’t do anything else but take it. But in the end I’m physically fine and next week I’ll be at the start of the grand prix.”

Zarco is no stranger to controversy following his tangle with Pol Espargaro at Brno, Aleix Espargaro has also commented on Zarco saying he is selfish.
