Jerez MotoGP: Marc Marquez leads Maverick Vinales in FP1
2019 World Champion Marc Marquez sets the pace in FP1 today, just 0.024 over Maverick Vinales
Marc Marquez has finished in P1 in FP1 this morning in Jerez, leading Maverick Vinales by 0.024, the pair are closely followed by Honda rider Cal Crutchlow who is out to prove a point after losing his ride for 2021 to Alex Marquez.
It is worth noting there were 3 KTM’s in the top 10 of Pol Espargaro (P8), Iker Lecuona (P9) then Brad Binder (P10) with Binder just 0.573 off of Marc Marquez.
After missing the first 20 minutes, Fabio Quatararo finished the session in P17, likely due to him finding his set up and not going for fast laps just yet.
Replacement rider Bradley Smith who is replacing the banned Andrea Iannone finished the session in last place (P22), however was only 1.380 off of Marc Marquez.
