MotoGP Aragon: Maverick Vinales leads a Yamaha 1-2-3 in FP1
Maverick Vinales leads the way in FP1 ahead of the two Petronas Yamaha’s.
Maverick Vinales led a freezing cold FP1 session at Aragon, braving the cold to put the fastest lap in, he leads the two Petronas Yamaha’s of Franco Morbidelli then Fabio Quartararo in P3 who was 0.3 from Vinales, Fabio suffered a Turn 8 crash, limping off.
In P4 it was Alex Marquez, fresh off of the back of a podium at Le Mans continuing his momentum from the French track with added confidence, he suffered a crash at Turn 2 but rider OK.
In P5 it was Takaaki Nakagami, the second-fastest Honda for once, the Japanese rider becoming used to leading the way for Honda in sessions this season, he leads title contender Joan Mir.
Pol Espargaro was the next fastest man in P7 ahead of Cal Crutchlow who won’t be Pol’s biggest fan with Pol signing for Honda causing a chain reaction which put Crutchlow out of a seat.
Alex Rins was the next fastest rider in P9 ahead of Aleix Espargaro in P10.
