MotoGP Indonesia FP3 Combined Times: Yamaha retain 1-2 as times don’t improve
Fabio Quartararo remains the fastest rider heading into qualifying.
It remains a Yamaha 1-2 overall in FP3 with the Monster Energy Yamaha riders split by just 0.030 seconds thanks to their dry FP2 times, sadly no lap times were able to be improved from FP2 due to the wet race track in Indonesia, therefore we will see Pol Espargaro, Joan Mir, Francesco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez try to battle their way out of Q1, only two of the four will move up provided someone else doesn’t beat them.
In Q2 it will be a multitude of Ducati’s with both Pramac Ducati riders joining Qatar winner Enea Bastianini and Jack Miller ahead of Aleix Espargaro and the factory KTM duo of Brad Binder and Miguel Oliveira.
During the FP3 session Marc Marquez put in a shift to try and get close to the Q2 lap times but wasn’t able to get anywhere near the benchmark of 1’32 set by Alex Rins in FP2, the eight-time world champion will indeed have to go via Q2 alongside Francesco Bagnaia who also was pushing to try and get a Q2 place.
