MotoGP: Takaaki Nakagami matches career best finish of P4, just missing the podium

Takaaki Nakagami was able to match his career-best finish of P4 at the European GP.

Yet again, Takaaki Nakagami has just missed out on the podium, despite having the pace to take a great result.

In the European GP at Valencia, Takaaki Nakagami took a P4 result, matching his best result in the class which he took at Jerez this year, however, he wants the podium, he remains the only rider in the top 16 of the championship to not score a single MotoGP class podium, even sitting ahead of race winners, Oliveira, Petrucci and Brad Binder.

He has been so close, taking a historic pole position at the Teruel GP, just to cruelly crash out on the opening lap, however, he is confident, saying he feels he can do more next race.

“I have mixed feelings, it was a great race and we had good pace,” said Nakagami. “We were very fast, I tried to close the gap to Rins and Pol but it was not enough, anyway I gave my best it was a great race with great pace.

I am very excited for the next race, I will try to be stronger.”

We have prayed to the MotoGP gods on our Instagram story for a podium, lets hope they listen to us eh?
