CEV: Izan Guevara wins the Junior Moto3 World Championship as a rookie
You read that right, rookie Izan Guevara wins the Junior World Championship as a rookie.
Izan Guevara adds his name to a long list of Junior World Champions such as Alex Marquez, Maverick Vinales and Fabio Quartararo.
Fabio Quartararo was able to win this title in 2013 as a rookie in his first attempt, Guevara has done the same, doubling up on titles as he is also the 2019 European Talent Cup champion.
It took Guevara just four races to step on the podium, doing so with a win following 2 x P8 and 1 x P13, since this race win, he has finished on the podium in every race with 4 x wins in a row and a P3 to cap off the season.
He has been an incredibly unexpected champion but has shown his class this season, there is no 2021 news for Guevara at the moment but he may step up to the World Championship with Aspar, or try and win back-to-back CEV titles as Quartararo did in 2013 and 2014.
This follows the Aspar European Talent Cup title with David Alonso, Aspar now have the JWC Moto3 title and Albert Arenas has the title lead in the Moto3 World Championship, complete domination by Aspar.
