MotoGP Rumour Mill BIG Edition – More rumours than ever including Cameron Beaubier to Moto2?

Buckle your seatbelts and sit down because we have a whole lot of rumours for you this week.
Welcome to the rumour mill where we discuss rumours in the MotoGP paddock.

Please take all rumours with a pinch of salt as they are just RUMOURS.

We will start with the biggest rumour, 5 x MotoAmerica champion Cameron Beaubier is rumoured to join the American Racing Moto2 team, a move which would see the 27-year-old leave his ‘comfortable’ lifestyle in the USA riding the Monster Attack Yamaha R1 to ride in Moto2, one of the fiercest and most competitive championships in the world where we regularly see riders within 1 second of each other in the top 20. The rumour comes from Speedweek.com.

Next up, we have the potential departure of Joe Roberts to the Italtrans Moto2 team, replacing Enea Bastianini who heads to MotoGP. All year Roberts has been on form in Moto2, therefore it is no surprise that top name teams such as Italtrans, who are fighting for the title in Moto2, want a slice of the American Pie. It is not known if Joe would bring John Hopkins with him or if he would remain with the American Racing Team to support Beaubier.

In other news, it has been said that Jorge Navarro will keep his ride for 2021 and should hopefully be confirmed soon, he is rumoured to ride with Yari Montella who leads the CEV Moto2 standings on a Speed Up, winning nearly every race so far this year.

In John McPhee news, the McPint McSized McScotman (sorry I will stop) is rumoured to join the MV Agusta Moto2 team, it is known he is chasing a Moto2 ride, yet his current team Petronas do not have a slot for him with Jake Dixon occupying the other seat with Xavi Vierge, despite McPhee being rumoured to have been told that the seat was his.

Albert Arenas, Moto3 title leader, will move to Moto2 for 2021, most likely with the Aspar team replacing Hafizh Syahrin who has not performed as expected this season, we are expecting that the Malaysian could move to the TKKR team as he has large Malaysian sponsors and he would slot in nicely in the Malaysian run team.

Finally, Dominique Aegerter could ride for the NTS team in 2021, if he is able to bring money to the team.

Round up:

Cameron Beaubier – American Racing

Joe Roberts – Italtrans Racing

Jorge Navarro – Speed Up

Yari Montella – Speed Up

John McPhee – MV Agusta

Jake Dixon – Petronas Moto2

Albert Arenas – Aspar Moto2

Dominique Aegerter – NTS

As we have said, do not take these rumours as fact, they are only paddock talk and hold little weight.
