Moto2: Joe Roberts to ride for the Italtrans team in 2021

Joe Roberts will ride for the Italtrans team in 2021 in a Moto2 title charge.

Joe Roberts will make the next step in his Moto2 career, moving to the incredibly competitive Italtrans Moto2 team for 2021, the team are currently fighting for the Moto2 title with Italian Enea Bastianini. Roberts has made huge leaps since moving from MotoAmerica, taking podiums in the CEV Moto2 championship as a rookie before moving to the world championship full time.

He has had an outstanding season this year, taking pole at Qatar, Brno and Le Mans and even standing on the podium at Brno.

He had an incredible performance at Le Mans, originally taking pole position but being robbed following a tyre change which lasted too long with the race starting before he lined up on the grid. He had to overtake the safety car and fought valiantly to take P6 with pace to win the race.

It is almost certain we will see him on the top step of the podium very soon.
