MotoGP: Moto2 News: Mattia Pasini to replace Jorge Martin for Misano race 2

Moto2 veteran Mattia Pasini will replace Jorge Martin at Misano race 2.

Jorge Martin will miss another race this weekend after being diagnosed with COVID-19 before the first race last weekend at Misano, completely ruining his championship chances for 2020 in Moto2.

He was not replaced for the first race, however the rules state that if the next race is more than 7 days after the rider being confirmed as unable to race, the team must find a replacement rider, therefore Mattia Pasini will replace Jorge Martin for the second race at Misano.

35-year-old Pasini is a veteran in the MotoGP paddock, racing in 125cc, 250cc, Moto2 and even MotoGP, taking 2 x Moto2 wins, 2 x 250cc wins and 8 x 125cc wins.
