WSBK: Jules Cluzel to remain with GMT94 Yamaha team for 2021
Jules Cluzel has been confirmed at the GMT94 team for 2021 following his injury at Aragon.
In the second World Supersport race at the Teruel round of the WSBK season, Jules Cluzel was running in first place before he was crashed into by Raffaele De Rosa at Turn 1, the crash left Cluzel with a broken tibia and fibula, but is looking to return this season. You can watch the crash here.
When team manager Christophe Guyot was asked about his plans for returning this season, Guyot confirmed, “First of all, I thank all the people who have allowed Jules to move quickly, I also underline the efficiency of the local hospital service: in Alcañiz I was really kind and reassuring. Jules wants to get back into action as soon as possible and will have all our support. ”
However highlighted that there was no rush to return, especially with Andrea Locatelli running away with the title like he stole it, “He [Cluzel] will remain with us also in 2021. There is, therefore, no pressure in this sense: it will return when it is 100%, although we clearly hope it will be soon.”
We hope to see Cluzel back on track soon to attempt once again to win a World Supersport title in 2021.
