MotoGP – Valentino Rossi “I want to continue next year”

Valentino Rossi has put an end to speculation regarding his future following the crash in Austria confirming he wants to continue racing.

After the horrific crash at Austria which nearly saw Valentino Rossi hit by Franco Morbidelli’s bike at speed, there has been some speculation about if it may cause Rossi to stop racing. The nine-time champion put an end to this.

“If I stop with MotoGP I will do something else that is dangerous. I want to race with cars and do the 24 hours race which is dangerous,” confirming that he still has the need for speed, even after retirement. “I can retire in my home with my farm with my horses or on my bed” joked Valentino, poking fun at his age in MotoGP at 41 years old.

Rossi finished with “If you are a rider or a driver it is a risk [serious injury], so no, I don’t change my mind, I want to continue next year,” confirming his intentions.

Valentino is expected to sign with the Petronas Yamaha team for 2021, it is only a matter of time before we see the announcement.
