Scott Redding to Ducati MotoGP?
Could we see Scott Redding make a shocking MotoGP return to the factory Ducati MotoGP team?
Scott Redding raced in MotoGP for five years riding a Honda, Ducati and the Aprilia however the Englishman never lived up to the expectations surrounding him.
In 2018 Redding announced he would be leaving the MotoGP paddock, moving to the British Superbikes championship with Paul Bird Motorsport, a huge jump back from racing at the highest level to racing in a national championship.
Slowly, bit by bit, Redding edged closer and closer to the BSB title as a rookie, finally winning the title at the final round of Brands Hatch beating his teammate Josh Brookes.
Following this title, Redding was awarded a seat in the Aruba.IT factory Ducati squad in World Superbikes, a bike which had battled for the title the season before.
The form of Redding has not slowed down, he has finished on the podium in all six races so far this season with two wins to his name and the championship lead ahead of Jonathan Rea.
Ducati are currently struggling with contact talks with Andrea Dovizioso after signing Jack Miller for the 2021 season and may look to Redding as an option. Redding himself has already said that the only way he would return to MotoGP is with the factory Ducati team, could this be his route back?
