MotoGP PHOTOS: Yamaha unveil 2021 livery
Yamaha have unveiled their 2021 rider line up and new 2021 livery.
For the first time since 2004 (with the exception of 2011 and 2012) Valentino Rossi is not included in the factory Yamaha line up, instead he has been replaced by Fabio Quartararo in the team. Quartararo has impressed many since he joined MotoGP taking 7 podiums in his rookie year of 2019 before winning 3 races in 2020, leading the championship for a considerable amount of the season.
Yamaha have opted to take the route of favouring youth which has benefitted many factories in the last few years with Marc Marquez being a prime example. Yamaha are not the only factory to be using their route as Ducati unveiled Jack Miller and Francesco Bagnaia who are 26 and 24 respectively. This new wave of younger riders is helping to shape the future of the sport and with Yamaha putting their trust in Quartararo we can be sure that he will pay them back with the elusive title.
The 2021 factory line up will be one of the youngest on the grid with Vinales currently 26 years old and Fabio Quartararo turning 22 in April.
Yamaha have pulled out all the stops this year with their livery which looks identical to 2020.
