Moto2/Moto3 Catalunya: Luca Marini takes pole breaking the lap record as Tony Arbolino takes Moto3 pole by 0.600

Luca Marini takes yet another pole position in Moto2 breaking the lap record again. In Moto3, Tony Arbolino takes pole a huge 0.600 from P2.

Luca Marini cannot be stopped, taking yet another pole position this season whilst chasing the Moto2 world championship.

In second place, Jorge Navarro sits and has improved majorly after a tough season. Sam Lowes closes the front row, looking stronger than ever and will be chasing a win tomorrow.

Fabio Di Giannantonio has continued his improvements with fourth place, improving all weekend at Catalunya this weekend.

Jake Dixon is slowly but surely coming good, he takes his best ever Moto2 qualifying result of fifth place and will hopefully signing a deal with Petronas soon.

Marco Bezzecchi was the sixth-fastest rider ahead of American Racing duo of Joe Roberts and Marcos Ramirez who have shown a lot of pace this weekend.

Xavi Vierge took ninth place, being outperformed by his teammate which is not something he is used to. An injured Remy Gardner took the 10th spot in the session but will start 6 places lower due to a penalty for crashing under a yellow flag.

Moto3:

Tony Arbolino capitalised on the riders in front of him and completely destroyed the rest of the Moto3 field, taking pole position by a huge 0.618 faster than P2 and P3 of Raul Fernandez and Gabriel Rodrigo who qualified with identical times.

Albert Arenas took fourth place in the session which is major for his championship charge given that his title contender Ai Ogura will start from P24.

Jaume Masia who is unconfirmed for 2021 after being replaced by Artigas has taken P5, a great job interview here at Catalunya, he finishes ahead of Niccolo Antonelli, a name we have barely heard this season.

Filip Salac continues to make great progress in P7 ahead of Kaito Toba.

Darryn Binder has put his qualifying woes to bed, he will start from P9 and is almost certain to feature at the front tomorrow during the race.

Sergio Garcia is the 10th fastest man in P10, 1.062 from P1.
