Marc Marquez pondering shock return this weekend
Just 5 days after breaking his humerus, Marc Marquez is debating a return to action this weekend at Jerez
The 8 time World Champion crashed out of Sunday’s race at Jerez in dramatic fashion after an incredible comeback from P17 to P3.
It was initially feared that Marquez had nerve damage which would’ve potentially ruined his season, however, Dr Xavier Mir has confirmed Marquez is feeling better than expected.
It is believed that Marc is pondering a return to racing this weekend just 5 days after his crash, 3 days after his surgery.
He was released from hospital on Wednesday to begin rehabilitation for his surgery at home with a goal of a return at the third round held at Brno, meaning he would take a loss of a potential 25 points this weekend at Jerez.
However, newspaper El Periodico de Catalunya, is reporting that Marquez may potentially make a shock return this weekend to gain points from a shortened championship, keeping his title fight alive.
